Target Audience

As our genre is Thriller/Comedy our target audience will be in two of the four categories. These categories consists of 'Females under 25' and 'Males under 25'. We have chosen these two as we think anyone over this age might not appeal to the genre; some over this age could be intreged but its highly unlikely as they tend to be more mature. Furthermore anyone under the age of 12 would be unsuitable for the movie and the genre might be to frightening for the younger generation moreover, they might not understand the comedy shown. 

Hot Fuzz

Their target audience consists of a mix of people. Fans of comedy films, fans of the paired actors (Simon Pegg and Nick Frost), fans of action films and fans of 'Working Title' productions. With this production, they were able to capture all four target audience groups making the film a four-quadrent movie. Yet our movie may be able to achieve this but 'Edgar Wright' is a tough director to follow.

Zombieland

Now even though this film is american they still have the same target audience (except the fans of Working Title). both films follow the genre of Thriller/Comedy and both have achieved this very well. Zombieland may attract the audience of zombie lovers, blood and gory lovers too.

Both films have a similar genre this genre is what we as a group want to achieve. We want our film to attract a range of people who love a mix of genres. Our age ranges from 15 to 25 year olds yet people over 25 might be intrigued too which isn't a problem. By knowing who our target audience will range from we can regularly check our survey which is on our blogger for anyone too fill out; and if more people over the age of 25 like our idea of Thriller/Comedy we can then expand our ideas further to all four target audience groups which might affect our plan for our opening scene as we might have to make the film more mature for older views but that all depends on who fills out our survey.
