Location Shots

For our opening sequence we needed to find a family home setting, so we took photos of our houses/bedroom to get inspiration. Below are some photos of rooms that we might film in from various peoples houses. We want to film it in a bedroom as it is most suitable for our characters- a bedroom is a child's place of safety, somewhere they would hide.

Mise-en-scene needed:
We need to include a bed big enough to hide a child under it and film under the bed shots. Cupboards for the children to hide in, and family photos to create a sense of realism.

This is a long shot of one of the bedrooms we might use, the bed is big enough to hide under and it has cupboards that can also we used to hide in.

This is the cupboard the children will be hiding in that the father will open, it is big enough for this and opens in the way we need it to so that it will look dramatic.

This is one of the cupboards from inside, it has small compartments that the children can hide in. We like the fact that this is a plain white colour as using something bright or patterned may distract the audience. We will have to test out the cupboards before we start filming as we don't know if the cupboards are sturdy enough for two children to sit in.

In this bedroom there is also a secret door which could be used as another hiding place, however this is in the corner of the room so it will be difficult to film, objects would have to be moved around it.
